Bailey, Bailey, CO 80421, USA

About The Event

Gather on Saturday evening at the Rustic Creek Ranch, about 8 miles SE of Bailey, CO. about 1 hour from Denver. The setting is stunning with creeks, pond, wild deer, elk, turkeys, ravens and birds as well as resident Alpacas.

Join us by 6pm for fire and food. Walk the land and relax by the fire before we gather for Hapé, Guayusa and Shamanic Sound Healing around the fire. This will be a beautiful evening of spirit connection, and communion with nature. You are welcome to camp on the land, stay in nearby hotels in Bailey, or return home.

For those with us on Sunday morning, we will welcome the sun, have breakfast and learn some of the edible/medicinal plants and learn ways of developing good relationships with the plants, including working with Tabaco. When you develop a relationship with the plant spirit you open to a world of experience,  that you will not find in books. As my African Sangoma teacher says, "One plant, any plant, can show you the entire universe."

••• Working with the medicines is always optional. They give us powerful experiences, healing and teachings, but it's important to remember that the true connection is innate within us and the medicines assist us in realigning. It is important to honor what is being called for individually. When we open our hearts and connect, we experience what is needed whether you choose to work with the medicines or not.

Click here to see info on attending the entire weekend including drum making.

Camping and Food

In order to keep costs down, attendees are responsible for bringing your own food and appropriate tent and sleeping bags, etc.. This is primitive camping, not glamping or catered trip. If you need assistance we can provide general guidance and refer you to reliable sources to rent or purchase the appropiate gear. The space is easily accesible by passenger car and is suitable for small to mid size RV's (no hookups). Staying in nearby hotels (Bailey) or driving home are all options. Elevation is around 8,000 ft and in early June it can be cold. Mild weather will not affect the trip. Significant weather will be assessed at the time and if neccesary, alternative arrangements wil be made.

When you register you will receive a confirmation email with more information.

About the medicines:

Guayusa is a shrub that grows in the upper Amazon, related to Yerba Maté it is used as an energy drink and has healing and ceremonial uses. It has no psychoactive effects but assists in deep meditation, shamanic journey, visioning and dream recall. It is safe and legal.

Hapé is tobacco based medicine from tha Amazon that has been used for thousands of years. The action is cleansing and opening communication with spirit/creator. Many people experience feeling strongly rooted. Michael has received proper training and indigenous blessing to serve Hapé.

For those wishing to participate in the ceremonies without the medicines that is perfectly acceptable. There are options to connect to the essence and healing without taking them into the body.

You may notice I spell Tabaco differently than you may be used to. This is because we do not work with Tobacco, as most people know it. True Tabaco is  medicine and I name it to honor its powerful healing properties.
