Drum Making Ceremony - Lunar New Year

Start off 2020 in a  sacred way - make your medicine drum on the Chinese/Lunar New Year! This is a good time to create new beginnings as it is in harmony with the natural lunar cycles. 

The gift of a medicine drum will be with you for decades and for many, this marks the beginning of a new time in life.  There will be an ancestral altarspace and the drums are made in a fun but sacred way. For many, this is a day of healing as well as making a drum. This forms a very special relationship with your drum. The drums are soaked in in water with special herbs and we will be working with these plants while we make the drums as well. This further honors the natural world, and brings us closer to the ancestral healing energies to make this a very special process. Giving life to a drum, for many, is very healing and marks a new time in life.

16" Bison or Elk $270 

18" Bison or Elk $298 

SELECTION IS LIMITED, SEE TICKETS TO DETERMINE AVAILABILITY

16 or 18 inch recommended for best combination of size, sound quality and ease of handling. Other sizes (smaller and larger) and hides like Bison, and possibly others available - Inquire for availability pricing. Please plan ahead as it takes extra time to acquire these materials.  

All materials are ethically sourced and of the highest quality. Drums will be made in a ceremonial container where your intentions will be honored, and the animals, trees, and all materials are all honored as a part of a beautiful and sacred circle of life. Michael has invested hundreds of hours in learning the best techniques for our climate to ensure a drum that both looks and plays amazing. This is an investment in yourself and your loved ones that will be with you for lifetime.  

*** A $100 deposit covers your material cost and is required to hold your space (by January 11), remainder due in CASH (for money blessing) at time of ceremony.
