About The Event

ONLY TWO SPOTS LEFT AND ELK 18" IS ONLY OPTION AVAILABLE.

The hoop/frame drum is a powerful tool for self healing and shamanic journey, and if youre already a healer its a must for sound healing, soul retrieval or holding space. With current events and the coming of winter there has never been a better time to invest in yourself to make the most of this time. With your intention, your drum has the ability to break unwanted patterns with its rhythm. If you have been calling a drum into your life this workshop is for you...

The gift of a drum will be with you for decades and for many this marks the beginning of a new time in life.  There will be an ancestral altarspace and the drums are made in a fun but sacred way to begin a relationship of magic for years to come. For many, this is a day of healing as well as making a drum. The drums are soaked in water and herbs and we will be working with these plants while we make the drums as well. In the past, the herbs have included local Sage (Artemesia), Mullein, Uva Ursi, Juniper, and Tobacco. Working with the plants brings another dimension of energy to the drum making process for cleansing and ancestral connection.

We will be making drums outdoors with appropriate distancing. In the case of inclement weather we will be indoors where we will be required to wear a mask and be properly distanced.

About the drums, ethics, etc...  * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

All materials are ethically sourced and of the highest quality. Drums will be made in a sacredly held container where your intentions will be honored, and the animals, trees, and materials are all honored as a part of the sacred circle of life. I have invested many hours in learning methods to make drums that both look and plays amazing.

Anthropological research suggests the frame drum originated in Siberia thousands of years ago before migrating around the planet. Traditional stories sometimes say the drum was a spirit that came to help them, the heartbeat of the earth. The drums we will be making are a contemporary style, influenced by Native American as well as Northern European styles. Exact wrapping styles may vary between ceremonies.

I offer these workshops with humility and the intention to heal, honor and lift the spirit of humanity, the earth, and all the diverse life she carries.
