About The Event

Early Bird Registration expires soon! Don't wait

Make your  medicine drum in nature near Bailey, CO. This is an overnight drum making with fire ceremony on friday evening and drum making Saturday in a beautiful setting. For those who want to extend the healing experience there will be a second evening of Guayusa, Hapé, & Sound healing. Please read all details below before registering...

People consistently report how the drum making is a life changing experience. This 3-day workshop will be a more immersive experience in connecting with the drum as well as ancestral/self healing and nature connection. We will gather on Friday afternoon at the Rustic Creek Ranch, about 8 miles SE of Bailey, CO. about 1 hour from Denver. The setting is stunning with creeks, pond, wild deer, elk, turkeys, ravens and birds as well as resident Alpacas.  Friday night  we will activate our intentions and prayers and begin the drum making at the fire. There will be ancestral healing, nature connection, rhythm and music into the evening. Saturday we will do some morning sunrise exercises and make drums in an amazing setting. Drum making will be complete Saturday sometime round 4pm.

You have the option to stay Saturday evening for Hapé, Guayusa and sound healing/shamanic journey to connect with spirit in the ways you need to around the fire under the stars. After the gathering you can camp on the land with us (small RV's OK), find a hotel in nearby Bailey, or return home (Denver is a 1 hour drive). Sunday there will be opportunity to connect with the edible/medicinal plants, birds and nature, which is a great opportunity to learn some ways of connecting to the plant spirits, including working with Tabaco.

There will be lots of time and the space for nature to speak throughout the weekend. The Birds are messengers and as we cleanse our energy and tune to the vibrations of nature, they may invite us into their world of bird language and interspecies communication.

This is an opportunity for deep healing, cleansing, renewal, and coming home with a drum to anchor and carry the energy forward.

Working with the medicines is always optional. They can give us powerful experiences, healing and teachings. It's important to remember that the true connection is innate within us and the medicines assist us. It is important to honor what is being called for from within.

About the medicines:

Guayusa is a shrub that grows in the upper Amazon, related to Yerba Maté it is used as an energy drink and has healing and ceremonial uses. It has no psychoactive effects but assists in deep meditation, shamanic journey, visioning and dream recall. It is safe and legal.

Hapé is tobacco based medicine from tha Amazon that has been used for thousands of years. The action is cleansing and opening communication with spirit/creator. Many people experience feeling strongly rooted. Michael has received proper training and indigenous blessing to serve Hapé.

For those wishing to participate in the ceremonies without the medicines that is perfectly acceptable. There are options to connect to the essence and healing without taking them into the body. You may notice I spell Tabaco differently than you may be used to. This is because we do not work with Tobacco, as most people know it. True Tabaco is healing medicine and I name it differently in honor of that.

About the Medicine Drum

The medicine drum has long been used as a healing tool by Native Americans and various traditions around the world. It can be used for sound healing, shamanic journey, holding space for clients, self healing and more. The drum has the ability powerfully assist in tuning into non-physical reality for healing and visioning the future. Since 2012 Michael has been working with indigenous elders from North America, South America and South Africa. A portion of proceeds support causes Native American causes. If the spirit of the drum has been calling you, this is an amazing opportunity to join us.
