Throughout the ages, healers, shamans and mystics would sing songs for rituals, ceremony and healing. Sometimes the songs were 'channeling' voices of the ancestors, star-people, and other celestial beings for healing. Opening the voice  to express stuck emotion and energy is deeply healing. It can release trauma and challenges that hinder authentic communication in relationships, career and life. This workshop connects you to the power of your voice in both spiritual and practical ways.

SoulSounding, a term Michael and his partner coined several years ago, is non-verbal vocal sounds, typically ethereal, transportive, beautiful and deeply moving to awaken dormant gifts and energy for healing. Some call similar types of singing star-language, soul songs, or vocal toning. There are blocks or fears between the heart and throat hindering the voice from freely expressing. Talk therapy requires filtering complex emotion through the mind, which can take years, but when simply feeling and expressing it as sound you bypass the mind and move it straight out of the body. This workshop will help you to break free to claim your voice as a tool of healing and authentic self-expression.

Practically speaking, SoulSounding clears the pathways for your authentic voice to flow in relationships, work, and anywhere where fear has kept your voice small. As children, our voices were free, but we were taught to be quiet and behave. Personal expression was often silenced. Women, in particular, are taught to not speak up and men are conditioned to not communicate emotions. In this workshop you will be encouraged, in a safe, supportive environment where every expression is welcome. There will be discussion and exercises as well as examples of what it can sound like from an experienced vocal teacher and healer who knows what it’s like to take the journey from having a fearful, suppressed voice to having powerful experiences of opening to channel the ancestral languages for healing others.

The facilitator, Michael Cutter (Heartsong) was given the name “Cosmic Heartsong of the Earth Star Nation” by a  his Navajo teacher in a naming ceremony. Michael is a healer who has been called to be a bridge between Indigenous cultures and modern society to help people remember their true purpose and calling in life. He uses Hand Analysis, and Shamanic Healing to assist others in stepping into their gifts and purpose in life. His voice is a key instrument in his work.
