About The Event

Fire is one of the four primal elements of creation. It is essentially a portal into the spirit world, connecting us to primordial forces of change, transformation, shapeshifting, ancestral wisdom and so on. Fire is dynamic and changing and has many ways it can affect us, evoking feelings of warmth in the heart, mystery and even radical spiritual transformation. We will also be working with Tabaco, one of the master plant teachers, because fire and tobacco work beautifully to connect us with the ancestors and spirit for prayer and healing. Tobacco as an offering to the fire brings power to your intentions. There will be Tabaco water for those who feel called to work more intimately with the medicine.

In 2012, during a gathering honoring the rise of the Sixth Sun, an ancient Mayan prophecy, Michael was gifted fire ashes by a Native fire keeper. The gift came with some teachings and responsibility with the understanding that these ashes are a connection to a long lineage of fire keepers and the essence of the sacred fire. Through our collective attention, intention, prayers and love, we will activate the sacred fire. When we truly carry the sacred fire in our hearts, we bring warmth, love and the light of the ancestors wherever we go.

IMPORTANT

  • Bring a blanket, layers, poncho, hot tea, etc. Even around the fire, It will be cold outside.
  • If you have a drum (Native style), flute, rattle, etc. you are welcome to bring it.
  • Please arrive a few minutes early so we can start on time.
  • To honor the free flowing nature of the gathering, there is no strict ending time but plan for a couple of hours, plus or minus.

WHERE

The location is at private residence near I-25 and Hampden. You will receive directions when you RSVP

ABOUT

Michael was called into the shamanic path in 2010. He has trained with many Shamans/healers from around the world. He frequently travels to Ecuador, learning from Quichua and Amazonian elders and healers. He is one of the few certified by the IIHA as a Life Purpose Hand Analyst. The unique combination is the key to understanding and healing deeply held issues required in stepping into the gifts and purpose in life. Through his time spent traveling and apprenticeship, Michael has become a bridge of ancestral wisdom to the modern world.
